i honestly felt dirty
when an hour or so ago i went to the kaplan website and bought a 1 month subscription to their step 2 ck ("the boards") prep course.
i HAVE become a princeton review drone of sorts.
i noticed myself looking around when i did it...it was weird.
but, i did tell my boss lady a few months ago that i was going to end up doing it, she gave me her blessing, still felt very odd. my job rests on the fact that not everyone uses kaplan, and it just feels wrong to do it myself...
oh well, gots to do well on boards, and if TPR had a problem with me using kaplan for this, well, i probably would have had to officially quit TPR
but i'm glad i didnt, this way i can still do some trainings, to make up for the fact that i had to buy a new computer(we'll say it was between $1100 and $1500), and pay for step 2 ($445) and for the prep ($149) all this month!

bye bye miss american pie
i do feel as though monday was the day the music died...
i broke the LCD on my laptop.
you know how much i love my laptop, it is TOTALLY my little baby. and now i need to get a new computer (it would be 1000 to repair, 1400 for new computer).
so i am at a loss.
actually, it will be 1200 for a 14.1 inch dell, and 1400-1500 for a 12.1 inch dell. my vaio is 12.1...i don't know what to do!
GAA!
i went to laptopworld.com 's store to get a quote, they quoted me 300 to fix it, they also sold laptops literally from 1992, the whole thing was very shady.
this is the second thing i have destroyed in like 18 months (the first being my cell phone in a toilet based incident)

it wasn't available to be taken in dayton, so i am going to have at least half an hour drive to get to the place in cincinnati...

'arry potter!
so, in roughly 8 hours, i read book six.
it is now my intent to read it over.
it was, as was promised, possibly the best one yet. revealing quite a bit, but still not answering some crucial questions--as was to be expected.
yay!
i cant wait till neal (who is now only 400 pages behind, what with him being the slowest reader alive) to finish it so we can discuss!

the start of fourth year
I can't believe that I have already gotten through three years of med school. It just doesn't seem like that long.
Today starts fourth year. I am doing a neuro rotation, and ended up specifically doing PM&R (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation). The only one in the group to NOT get my first choice....But, the fact that this rotation gives Wednesday's off turns out to be good.
So far, that's all I know about it. This afternoon I will become oriented to the ways of the Drake center. Should be interesting.
I am also curious what it is like to work with new residents, having not done a July rotation last year, and have an attending based August...I feel as though this month will be interesting and hectic...
Oh well, I should organize myself now.
