A heart wrenching surprise! Monday

A heart wrenching surprise!
Monday after donating blood (I was minus one pint of blood), I checked
my machine and there were several messages from Kodak! They want me to
come in for a 2nd interview session. The only thing was they didn't
tell me when and that they wanted a 30min presentation, so I was abit
taken aback! I rummaged through my room trying to find my Thesis CD but
couldn't find it anywhere and had to lay down a few times b/c jumping
from pile of junk to the next was apparently a little too much effort.
^^; But I found it, and I've got most of the presentation together.
Still need to write the section about the ink pump system that I worked
on this summer and where exactly I want to go in their company. That
last bit is always the hardest part for me, and I never seem to know
what to say. I always feel that it's really the killer of my
interviews. Interview starts at 1pm on Thursday until ~4:45pm. It's
going to be an interesting afternoon! ^_^;;;
A bit more background about the Kodak Versamark place: They were
started by Kodak about 30 years ago, and then was sold b/c K didn't see
the technology expanding as they wanted to. Over the next 30 years
Versamark grew and profitted more than expected, until it was bought
back by Kodak earlier this year. At the plant location on Research
Blvd, they test new inks and manufacture print heads. So wish me luck
as I prepare myself for the upcoming events!

oops... forgot: I'm sure some

oops... forgot:
I'm sure some of you have heard of John Stewart's "America" hitting the
book stores lately. It should give an entertaining light on our country
as it is now. Well, apparently, Wal-mart has deemed the book unsellable
for its customer-base because of one picture.
here's the link to the story @ CNN.com:

"wal.mart.no.nudes.ap" is part of the webaddress. how amusing.

Wheeeee! My interview with Tate

Wheeeee!
My interview with Tate & Lyle last week went pretty well, IMHO. I
knew my material, I didn't give offense to anyone, I smiled, I gave a
good handshake. let's see what they have to say!
Yesterday I received a call from Kodak Versamark, which is located on
Research Blvd. They want to do a phone interview with me tomorrow! yay!
The HR fellow gave me a description of what they were looking for: a
chemical engineer that is interested in moving up in a company with
more emphasis on science than on management. they need someone that is
fairly handy with a good mechanical background (I assume they mean the
candidate can use tools). They also want more details about the ink
pump system that I designed when i did that consultant job w/ Dr.
Wilkens @ UD. I hope they don't think that I designed the whole thing.
Not that I couldn't do that. So.... *excitement!*
got lvl 59THF last night! yay! ^^ no more checkered brigadine armor!
woo!

Gah... neverousness. >< interview tomorrow

Gah... neverousness. ><
interview tomorrow with Staley Tate & Lyle. mebbe this year they
will actually hire me. "How can educated people truly believe Bush lost
last night? The educated should be able to see right through Kerry's
rhetoric and slick talking...."
*sigh* why do people constantly insist that the election is so one
sided? It obviously isn't. Both men believe they are in the right
(correct not political right). Both men use rhetoric... that's how they
try to get their points across and communicate their proposed policies.
Also, many educated people might say that bush lost the last debate
because he wasn't defending himself on certain issues. But who are
these educated people? the Kerry camp perhaps? lol yeah, they won't be
one sided or anything. and the same could be said for the Bush camp or
Fox news.

Heyyy... well lets see if

Heyyy... well lets see if this post will actually... post. =x
First i'd like to say Kerry 04. I have my reasons and that's what's
important. :P
Job... job... job... still lookin' and waiting. I've actually had job
offers, BUT here's the quality of those jobs that i've been offered:
$11/hr. 1hr commute. 3month project with the "possibility" of full time
work. this isn't a job that i'm qualified for... it's beneath me and
i'm getting tired of trying to find something for me. RIP Chris Reeves
(Mr. Superman)
This is a few weeks old but it still makes me chuckle: the RNC decided
to start passing out flyers in OH, WV, VA, and KY telling people that
the "Liberal agenda" will "ban the bible." It claims that liberals are
only starting with the separation of church and state, and that
"mindset" will eventually ban the bible. As a liberal moderate, i find
this to be a disgusting exploitation of ignorance in the dixie belt.
Liberals first and formost are for education, and education cannot take
place with the banning of ANY book. It also goes against freedom of
press and speech. Obviously, this is an incorrect claim.
We finally got the frame in place for the distillation column. Soon
we'll put in the support pipes and the reboiler! yay! ok... time for
work... later!
