Another day, another boring time

Another day, another boring time spent infront of my computer. I can't
wait to have a new job so that i'm not sitting in front of my computer
all the time... it'd be nice to look at other computers too. And i want
the G35, but that's going to take some time as well, eh?
Latest Brittney quote: "When Spears talks about the South Asian musical
influences on “In the Zone,” she says she’s “been into a lot of Indian
spiritual religions.” When asked if one of them is Hinduism, she says,
“What’s that? Is it like kabbalah?” "... how amusing.
Finally got to start playing Unreal 2 again. It had been on my computer
prior to the Nuking, but i had uninstalled it to put some other stuff
on there. When i got my new vid card, i tried to reinstall it, which
didn't work, b/c apparently the uninstall wasn't working correctly and
had told my computer that the game was still on there. I couldn't
uninstall, i couldn't reinstall, and i couldn't "fix" it. i was not
pleased. but now that it's on the reformatted computer, it works
beautifully. The textures on this game are awesome. Too bad that the
story kinda blows. Tonight is beggar's night. YAY! i get to reminse of
the days of when i got to dress up and run around the neighborhood
getting all kinds of candy. I remember one year i went w/ the pirnia
brothers. Mike had made this extravagant and really well put together
alien costume. Nick dressed as himself. *rolls his eyes* Somewhere
along the night, nick "accidentally" hit mike in the head w/ his fist.
oops! no more alien costume! ;) Halloweens since then have been kinda
foggy, especially ones at UD. But i do remember freshman year (since i
hadn't started drinking yet like normal UD kids) i went as Duct Tape
Man, as DanE had suggested. pretty good night, got lots of good
comments, but i had alot of trouble getting that duct tape out of my
hair. Even had the RA help me (biiiiiig football guy). So i ended up
having to cut it out of my hair. :$
Lil miss preggo downstairs was tokin' it these past few days. Naturally
this comes as a bit of a culture shock to me, despite the fact that i
had already imagined that ppl do this, but i had never thought i'd
actually witness it. Anish was shocked too, but then again he thinks
that drug deals are going down every night at the abandoned school next
door. I told him prolly not. It prolly only goes down on the weekends.
Ben's friend (whose name i've forgotten) regaled a story of some of the
C-ville kids having a bad drug deal go down. And of course, this made
me laugh at their stupidity. CDs, video games, wine, and novels are a
much better investment than drugs. ;)
Today's thought: Name Four Things You Are Thinking About Now:
1) How awesome Unreal 2 looks but sucks as a game
2) When can i get Halo PC from Dan/Ben?
3) How much more time can i waste today after having completed two
"brochures" for work?
4) Why is my bamboo dying?? :(

hrm... on CNN.com today from that annoying AIM Today window that I keep
forgetting to disable, it said that a new bill has been passed by
congress that public school teachers must hold a bachelor's degree in
EVERY subject that they teach, or otherwise be able to pass an exam
that shows that they are otherwise qualified. How ridiculous would it
be to have to get additional bachelor's degrees?! that's more money
than anyone really has. once again, the government comes up w/
ridiculous standards. anyways, went to "work" this morning, meeting w/
Larrell and Danita (my employers). I had given them sheets of what i
had done so far, but instead of reading them ahead of time and then
telling me what they wanted changed, they instead read it right in
front of me. so we had an hour meeting of them reading my stuff, and me
just sitting there. Gah! At least i got paid for it. hrm... anything
else to mention? still training w/ tkd, running, and weight-lifting. No
real progress, except that i'm finding that the white belts are
extremely slow in sparring, which lemme tell ya, feels awesome.
mwuahahaha. This semester there are two "experienced" white belts, one
from karate and one from kickboxing. I've had the chance to spar the
fella from kickboxing, and he's not bad; pretty quick, has good reach,
needs to turn his head a bit more to his target to help focus his
peripheral vision. The karate fella i haven't sparred yet, but he looks
pretty good too. His g/f tho... sparred her last night. she's not bad
for a beginner, just needs to commit more to her attacks, and not keep
herself in so close. The other n00b needs lots of work; absolutely the
MOST tense fella i've ever sparred. He kept his shoulders squared up
right infront of me, making me think: "oh! big target! *smack*"
that looks like enough for today, signing off: GRD3

3) Sheep-skin condom
4) New Kids On The Block t-shirt

Sweet... here it is. my

Sweet... here it is. my first entry. I chose the "herbert" layout, b/c
it sounded especially nerdy, and what better than to accentuate the
nerdiness of a blog than w/ a nerdy layout. today's thought:
Name Four Things That You Wish You Had:
1) full time Job
2) Infiniti G35 w/ mounted g36s
3) healthier plants
4) caller ID
