Snakes on a Plane!
You may or may not know that I am crazy about "Snakes on a Plane." No, not the idea of reptiles on an aircraft, the movie about said event. Now, I just saw the trailer this week, and I can assure you, on the plane, there are snakes, and Samuel L. Jackson indeed shoots one with a taser. If that wasn't badass enough, according to the Hollywood Reporter, the producers brought the cast back for some reshoots, adding enough snake on plane action that the movie may be rated "R" instead of "PG-13." I can't wait until Aug 18.
Also, it is now rumored that in the movie, Samuel L Jackson actually says "Snakes on a motherfucking plane!"

Big News!
I have two pieces of news
First piece of news:
Last night was the award ceremony for the o36 film race that we participated in last month, and our film, "Atomic Blast" won "best overall" in the professional catergory and "best use of genre," the same two awards we won last year. We also won a new award this year, best scriptwriting. Yay for us! (and yay for me!)
Second piece of news:
What is the world's most terrifying animal? That's right, the moth. But since Hollywood hasn't caught on, they are still making movies with the second most terrifying animal: the snake. And where's the most terrifying place for a snake? You might say pants. But you are wrong. You can always take off your pants. You can't take off... YOUR AIRPLANE. And what is more terrifying than a snake on your plane? You might say many snakes on many planes. Again, close, but not exactly right. True, many snakes is scarier than one snake, but it's more terrifying if they are on a single plane. That way, they are more concentrated. Don't believe me? Watch the trailer for Snakes on a Plane.

Atomic Blast!
Regular Hobocop readers may remember that last year, my team won the Orlando 36 hour film race with our film, "The Precious Jewel." Two weekends ago, we competed again. We were given 36 hours to complete a film between three and six minutes. Our randomly assigned genre was "infomercial", the assigned prop was two "snap hands", and our assigned line of dialogue was "with a little luck, this might work." I think everyone was pleased with the film, and we have a good feeling we might win something, especially since most short films (and most feature films) suck balls.
The completed film, "Atomic Blast," can be seen bellow.
UPDATE: We got an email telling us that our film will be recoginzed at the awards ceremony next week. We don't know what we won, but we won something.
