We Get Letters

Yesterday, as part of my job function, I wrote some comedy for televison. It was a little thirty second fake comercial for FEMA. The Script went like this.

[Shots of Hurricane'd New Orleans]

ANNOUNCER: FOLLOWING THE SLOW RESPONSE TO THE KATRINA DISASTER,

[Shots of Michael Brown, Head of FEMA]

ANNOUNCER: FEMA DIRECTOR MICHAEL BROWN HAS BEEN CRITICIZED FOR BEING UNDER QUALIFIED FOR HIS
IMPORTANT POSITION. HOWEVER MICHAEL BROWN HAS TEN YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AS

[Shots of Various Arabian Horses]

ANNOUNCER: HEAD OF THE INTERNATIONAL ARABIAN HORSE ASSOCIATION, AND HORSES ARE
NATURE'S MOST DISASTER PRONE ANIMALS

[Arabian Horse Explodes. Cut to Graphic, which says the following]

ANNOUNCER: MICHAEL BROWN: 10 YEARS OF HORSE EXPERIENCE, WORKING FOR YOU!

The End.

Well, that day, the show got the following email.

I just had someone stop by my Arabian Horse facility asking me if what the Daily Buzz said is true-that Arabians are the most accident-prone breed of horse. Not seeing the show this morning I hope to God this isn't true, because if that is the case, you definitely are not reporting fact. Possibly this is in reference to M. Brown and his involvement in the breed. Well, if that is the case, don't slam a breed of horse you know nothing about. You know, I have really enjoyed your twist on the news in the past, but when you are misinforming the general public about a breed of horse that is my livelihood, please get your facts straight. Thank you.

Nerd Chart

This is very nerdy, but still interesting. It's a chart comparing the ship sizes from various Sci-fi shows and movies. The Super Star Destroyer is way huge.

why?

Here are the REAL reasons people are dying in the streets of New Orleans:

The United States has queers

The United States has abortions

The United States has welfare

The United State doesn't teach God's Commandments

Well, at least help is getting to people that need it.

The Big Sleazy

Finally, some decisive action by our government! Yes, people are still dying in New Orleans, but guess who already has a contract for the cleanup? Halliburton, of course.

Steady Leadership

Today on Good Morning America, Geroge Bush actually said:

I don't think anybody anticipated the breach of the levees

Ummm... No. Everybody anticipated the breach of the levees.
