Cleveland Rocks
Cleveland, the city where the river once caught fire, will be able to watch "The Daily Buzz" in the next month or so, bringing our national coverage to just over 34% of the country. Take that, William Pace Show!

All Your Christ Are Belong To Us.
So according to this, they are working on a "Passion of the Christ" PS2 game. Does anyone have more information on this? I know the Washtington Times has a story on Christan video-games, but I want to know what happens in "The Passion" game. How many people would even want to play a game where you get beat by Romans into a bloody pulp, then killed at the end by being nailed to a cross? Or does Christ cruise around Jerusalem, hijacking donkeys and carrying out missions for various gangs? And doesn't the church look down on children pretending they are the Son of God?

Why did it take so long for someone to think of this?

Take Me To This Movie
For those of you not lucky enough to be part of the Hollywood in-crowd, when a writer wants an agent or producer to read his script (I say "his" cause women can't write, it interfear with their birthin'), he sends out a "query letter." This letter contains contact info and a short synopsis of the story. Below is the content of one letter I found on a blog I've been reading recently "Query Letters I Love."
I am hoping you will please consider reading my latest Sci-Fi/Horror script 'Lost Cause'.
An ancient, evil civilization conquers a metropolis, trapping nine players of utterly different interests in an ultimate struggle for survival. The band Lost Cause plays at an underground club. All rocks! An uproar in the back of the crowd quickly evolves into a tsunami of slaughter. The club erupts into sheer chaos, as Thin-Men carve a macabre path of destruction. Suddenly, time and light are manipulated.
How?
Blackness, the survivors awake amidst remnants of the previous horrors. Personalities clash, as each player must overcome their differences to escape... "Eight people you hate, nine lives to save."

New Comp
So I'm thinking of buying a new computer so I can play half-life 2 (among other things). I have a few questions and I thought some of the nerds out there would be able to help out.
Keeping in mind I can't really afford anything more than $800, here are my major questions:
Should I bulid it myself, or get it from someplace like ibuypower.com? What are the potential cost savings?
AMD, or Intel? 64 bit?
And my biggest question: Nvidia, or ATI? I'm thinking of an ATI 9800 PRO EZ 128mb, an ATI 9600XT 256mb, NVIDIA 5900-XT 128mb, NVIDIA 5700-ULTRA 128mb.I can't buy the really high end cards
Dual Channel RAM?

Teat sucking
So, now that the wingnuts are in charge again, what do they have planned? For some of them, it's kicking the blue states out. California, Illinois, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Maryland, and Delaware will have to go.
However, wingnuts like to ignore that many of the red states can't take care of themselves. For every dollar Alabama sends to the federal govenment in taxes, they get $1.69 back. Mississippi gets $1.83.
Who is paying for this? Blue states like New York and California, who get back $.80 and $.78 back respectively. The red states are for the most part sucking at the teat of the blue states. A whole list is here.
Update: The Human Events Online story cited above says that "BUSH USA" will be " vigorously heterosexual." Will us liberal heteros will have to settle for half-ass heterosexuality? And who gets dibs on the lesbain porn?

Cars
I've been reading/thinking about politics the last few weeks even more than usual, so I thought I'd change the subject here at hobocop for a few days. Sooo...cars.
My car had $1147.86 worth of damage, and I guess I won't have it for a few more days, even though I dropped it off last Monday. I'm renting an Altima, which is pretty quick, but it just doesn't drive like my car.
Also, yesterday I saw a new Lotus Elise driving around with no plate and a big "lost tag" sign in the tiny back window.
Other also, from what I gather from his blog, Cesar is going to get a new car soon. What should he get?
UPDATE: Cesar is leasing a 2005 BMW 325i

Kerry
After living there for so many years, you think I'd be smarter than to pin my hopes on the good judgement of the people of Ohio. Oh well. I'd go ahead and get your abortions now, while they still are legal.
The only good thing about this is that now P.Diddy is obligated to kill Dave.

Another reason to vote Bush
So today on the Buzz we asked viewers to tell us why they thought more women prefer Kerry and more Men prefer Bush. Of course we got lots of idiot emails, but one email stood out.

Subject: Bush vs. Kerry
"I'm a teenage male, but my opinion on the matter, is that most women in the United States like Kerry for sex and money. Not from him because he is old, but because of all the immigrants he plans to let live here, and all the money he's going to give them for living on American soil. This equals new, hot Puerto Ricans, Cubans, ect. with lots of money for women.
