More Ohio Nonsense

Have any of you Ohio people recieved a notice from the post office that the state GOP sent you a registered letter, and you should go to the post office to pick it up? If you did, and you decided not to pick it up, you may have your voter registration challenged.

Oh, and don't listen to letters from the GOP informing you that you can't vote.

Election

I made a coment on Neal's blog that if Bush wins, this may be the last real election we have to worry about. I take that back. I think the 2000 election was the last chance to actually vote. Why? Because already, people, espcially people in heavily Democratic areas, are getting screwed. I'm sure there are also plenty of tricks planned for Ohio, I recomend all you Ohio people find out what kind of documents (utility bills, IDs, etc.) you need to verfiy who you are. Also make sure you vote in the right precincts, or your vote could be tossed out. And make sure you and everyone you know votes. The larger the victory, the harder it will be to steal.

Gift Card

So I got a free $200 gift card from Wal-Mart today, and I don't know what to do with it. Right now I'm thinking either a new monitor, or maybe a digital camera. Any suggestions?

Plates

I have to register my car in Florida next week, and they have about 4 dozen different speciality plates to choose from. I'm thinking of getting the plate for Florida A&M University, which is a traditionaly black college that I did not attend. But damn, it is a pretty badass plate.

Keyed!

Today my car was keyed pretty severely. I think this happened at work, which is odd since no one else there got keyed, and we are located on a dead-end street. If it did happen at my apartment, which I doubt since I didn’t notice when I came into work and the scratches on the passenger side are pretty damn noticeable, it means that someone looked around the apartment complex, skipped the S2000, the Rolls Royce, and the newer BMWs, and spent the time to key my car down to the metal on in five different places. In any case, no new computer for me anymore, I’ll be spending my money getting my goddamn car painted.

I'm going to hell

Christopher Reeve, who I saw give a pretty awesome commencement speech at Osu last year, died earlier today. I had this thought at work and I thought I'd share it with all of you.

The only good thing about Christopher Reeve dying is that he won’t be very dangerous if he comes back as a zombie.

I need to work on some nicer material.

Ha

I found this little gem at the News of the Weird" website.

Palestinian Authority legislators disclosed in July that some local businessmen, aided by Palestinian officials, made huge profits by selling low-priced cement (provided at discount by Egypt to support its Muslim brothers) to Israelis at huge markups, even though they knew the cement was destined to be used in the controversial "security wall" Israel is erecting in the West Bank. !

It's been a series of 12 hour days and full weekends, so I'm sorry I haven't updated in a while. I'm also sorry if I haven't called/emailed people like I should. Maybe this weekend I'll actually get stuff done. While you are waiting for me to post something interesting, go see "Shaun of the Dead", or read this recockulous crap.
