Sorry

I haven't been able to post as much as I'd like, since I've been busy trying to research/buy a new (well, new to me) car. I'll update more soon.

P.S. BBQ this weekend. Email me for details.

Nickname Danielle Part II

The quest to nickname Danielle, the Daily Buzz Camera girl, goes on, and it's reached its critical phase. The four finalists are now on the Daily Buzz website. Go there, and make sure she doesn't end up with something stupid. The readers of this blog put "thumbs" over the top last time, lets make a difference again.

Steady Leadership

William Saletan article in Slate says what I've been thinking about bush all along. His leadership is steady in times of change, since no event has any bearing on his policies. Economy good? Time for a tax cut. Economy bad? Time for a tax cut. Saddam is a threat? We should invade. Saddam wasn't a threat after all? We should have invaded. You get the picture.

Nickname Danielle

We at the buzz are having a new contest to nickname our only camera girl, Danielle. So far, the names people are sending in blow. The most popular entry right now is "Jugsy Malone." I think American can do better. If you have any better nickname ideas, send them to buzz@dailybuzz.tv.

Satisfied

With all the troubles in the world, I'm glad some of us can find solace in the simpler things in life. For example, the Monday Washington Post quotes Bush as saying:

"I am satisfied that I never saw any intelligence that indicated there was going to be an attack on America -- at a time and a place, an attack,"

Three thoughts on this. One, "satisfied" is a word that should be tossed around after a delicious sandwhich, not used to describe your feelings on why you were asleep at the wheel in the lead-up to the worst terrorist attacks in United States history. Two, shouldn’t Bush be “outraged” that he never saw any intelligence that indicated there was going to be an attack on America? There was plenty of it floating around. Three, he DID see intelligence that indicated there was going to be an attack on America, intelligence strong enough that some people in Government stopped flying commercial aircraft.

Is it November yet?

Sorry

I'm sorry I haven't posted any new entries in a few days. I've been pretty stressed out with a lot going on in my life. I promise I'll post something soon (tomrrow? tonight maybe?)

Black People Love Us!

If there is one thing George W. Bush loves, it’s black people. If there is two things George W. Bush loves, it’s black people, and compassion. I mean, does this photo gallery lie? This sure reminds me of a little website I saw once.
