Anyone There?
Dear readers
Who reads this thing anyway? If it is just Neal and one or two other people, I might scale back the about of time I spend on it. Leave me a comment or just talk to me, and let me know if you find this site at all useful. Or let me know what you want more/less of.

Converts
I hate to link to this crappy site, but I thought this article expresses some thoughts that I expect to start coming from "sane" conservitives over the next year.

John Ashcroft
This guy is a barrel of laughs. First, he justifies the war in Iraq, by alleging that Saddam had used "evil chemistry" and “evil biology” in the past. Next, he’s singing, “Let the Eagle Soar”, a tune he wrote himself.
Maybe I should do a cover of it in my band.

Someone out there likes me.
No, not really. Neat trick though.

Dean Rocks Out
Howard Dean was tearning it up in Iowa a few days ago, and now its all in music form. DeanGoesNuts.com is the place to find all the remixes in one place.
Should I spend the time to put one together?

So that's how it works
If I were President Bush, I don't think I'd let jackass coments like these be published on my official website. I guess maybe they add to his folksy charm?

Taxes=Holocaust
Grover (not the muppet) Norquist, the anti-tax activist, and close friend to the George Bush White House, thinks that those who are against the repeal of the estate tax use "the morality of the Holocaust." His argument is that the estate tax isn't right because it targets a minority of the population, i.e. rich people. Just like the Nazi's targeted a minorty of the population, Jews, Gays, etc. This woudn't be so bad, if he realized that he was a mistake. Of course, he doesn't. Ug. I can't wait for the adults to be in charge again.
This does give me an idea for a killer song though.

POS SOTU
So I actualy watched the State of the Union speech, and I have to agree with the normally wrong Andrew Sullivan that it was combative, played to the hard right, and offered nothing to those who don't already support the president. Hopefully, the Administration will act this arrogant the rest of the year.
I don't really have time to refute all of the Presidents speech, so our friends at the Center for American Progress have done it for me.

Supercop
Ok, so China is sending one cop to Afganistan to help with the peace keeping effort. This guy is either a) a complete Jackie Chan-like badass who will capture bin Laden using only his fists, or b) someone who made his boss very, very angry.

Amber Pawlik
Ah, where to start. Amber Pawlik is a College Student at PSU. Also, she’s an idiot. Somehow, she has been allowed to post her Ayn Rand inspired crap on various b-list conservative websties like Faithfreedom.org and Mensnewsdaily.com. She also has her own, state-sponsored website. If you have a lot of time to kill, take a look as some of her work, like her recent “Feminists Pave the Way for Women to be Raped.” Her website, complete with lots of broken links, is here. A picture of her with Ann Couter is here. I believe she is the one with the black hair right next to Ann.

I'm not a big fan of wine, and I don't like Hitler either, but if I did like wine or Hitler, I think I'd buy this. Official website here.

More Awesome from Japan
I’m surprised that this hasn’t happened earlier. Japan finally has a human piloted robot, only not giant and not used to fight other giant robots. This one is used to fight fire.
The Slashdot story is here.
The official homepage (In Japanese and without a creepy guy in a mask and a webcam) is here.
Here's another pic. Japan is awesome.

America is awesome
America may not have men in full bodysuits and anime masks prancing around on web cams. America may not have the tentacle porn. But when it comes to creepy, sometimes the best websites are made right here in the U.S. of A.

Howard Dean
Howard Dean may have gotten important endorsements from Al Gore, Bill Bradley, and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, but I believe the NINJA endorsement will put him over the top.

Utopia
By popular demand, I am posting links to two different, but similar visions of a right-wing utopia. They may be long reads, but they show where some on the right want us to go, and what they want to happen to us along the way.
The first one is by a favorite crazy of mine, Adam Yoshida.
The second one is by William Lind, who I know less about.
Both of these links via Atrios
